Bio1. I'm a 21 years old muslim, arabian, middle-eastern girl and I'm damn proud of it =)
2. I Love: My family and friends, my religion, nice and open-minded people in general, movies (espacially horror movies 8D), anime/manga, reading, expanding my already huge library, writing original fiction, listening to music, watching documentaries, where I live, daydreaming, laughing, hot chocolate.
3. I Hate: arrogance, bigotry, racism, sexism, homophobia, polotics, flame wars, backstabers, fake people, uncomfortable silence, having nothing to do, cockroaches, George. W. Bush 8/
4. I'm currently studying in my fourh year in the University of Kuwait. I want to be an English teacher for elementary school kids. =)
5. I came from a very close and a very big family. I really like spending time with my parents, sisters and and relatives, and I always enjoy getting together with everyone on the holidays. I consider my 7 female cousins as my best best friends in the whole wide world OMG!!1 xD
6. I'm generaly a nice, happy and optmistic person. Though sometimes I can get emo, insecur and too self-conscious for my own good. But hey, I'm human.. I'm allowed xD
I am self-deprecating and incredibly aware of my flaws, and I don't consider myself a very opinionated person. I'm also very tolerant. I like it when people can get along despite their differencess, and I hate hate HATE fighting with people, in real life and on the internet, ESPACIALLY over petty things or fandom drama.
7. I'm idealistic. I've been accused of being a bit too nice or naive, but I firmly believe that there is good in everyone.. even the ones I can't stand.
8. My sex/gender are important to me, and I have a problem with the idea that one is a person separated from their sex/gender. I’m uncomfortable with the idea that there’s some kind of core self that’s independent of my sex/gender, or my race/ethnicity, religion, and so on.. because my identity is shaped by all of those things. Sometimes I *do* think that if I were born a guy some things in my life would be easier. But I love being female, and I don't think I would trade that for anything.
9. I'm an idiot. Really. I have my occasional shining moments of ~*~brilliance~*~ and a general ~*~intelligence~*~ that drops every now and then, but I'm an idiot.
10. I'm extremely impulsive, emotional, sensitive and obnoxiously loud. But, fourntaly, I know when to keep my mouth shut and I usually try my best to think before I speak/type.
11. I'm ridiculously fickle. I'm very easy to please, and I generaly like just about anything that's well-made, but there isn't much that holds my interest for too long.
12. Easily pleased, easily amused, easily distracted, easily paranoid and slightly insecure. Just about sums me up.
13. I have my occasional phases of what I like to call ''cannon crushes'', where I fall in love with a new canon (be it: anime, manga, movies, tv shows, video games, comics or books) and I go retardly ga-ga over it for a few weeks, and then I'd eventually get bored and move on to something else.
But if I happen to find something that I consider truely thought-provoking and Made Of Awesome I would seriously obsess with it for months and possibly years to come.
14. This will be a "mostly public yet semi-privet LJ", where I babble about anything and everything. I'm still not too comfortable to talk about my personal life in ditale, but that might change in the near future.
15. My current favouritte characters are:-
Griffith, Farneses, Guts, Casca (Berserk). Fai, Yuuko (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles). Fumma, Subaru, Seishiru (X). Garra, Naruto, Yondami, Sakura, Hinata, Neji (Naruto). L (Death Note). Fuu, Gin, Mugen (Samurai Champloo). Michiko (Michiko To Hatchin). Haruhi, Tamaki, Kyuya, Hikaru & Kaoru (Ouran High School Host Club), Risa, Otani (Lovely Complex).
And my current fandom obsessions are:-
Anime/Manga: Berserk (aaah! not for people under the age of 18), Monster, Blade Of The Immortal, Vagabond, various CLAMP canons, Death Note, Samurai Champloo, Ouran High School Host Club, Michiko to Hatchin, Naruto, Lovely Complex, MPD psycho.
Video Games: Silent Hill (AAAAAH!!! same here), Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry.
Tv shows: Scrubs, Freinds, Prison Break, Angel: the series, Buffy the vampire slayer, Everybody Hates Chris, CSI, Supernatural, Accordig to Jim, Sinfield, Big Love ect ect.
Movies: My Big Fat Greek Wedding, 28 Days Later, Batman: The dark knight, Sweeny Todd, ect ect.
Books: Agatha Christie's novels, Stephen King's novels, Edgar Allan Poe's stories, Harry Potter, tons of classic novels and many many books and short stories from arabic writers.
US comics: Watchmen.
